I think the 43 Nortech would be in the top three. might want to add it to your poll.

Formula 411 is a cruiser isn't it? Or is that the old straight bottom?

42 Tiger is my pick. Iwould like to get one with 1000hp efi's whipple quad rotors and Konrad ACE drives. Just as soon as I get the winning ticket.

Re: Big Boats (40s)

Assuming money is no object:

Outerlimits 42!!! Staggered of course.

41 Apache - no step. Which builder? Old boats, no thanks. New boats, really unknown quality. Saber 41?

44 Hustler - I don't care for the long slab sides, or the engine hatch.

42 Tiger - Beautiful, well built. Not staggered, but otherwise very tempting.

47 Fountain - The triple engines just prevent me from pulling the trigger. A staggered twin that was rigged by someone other than the factory, maybe.

F4 Sunsation - looks BEAUTIFUL. But just does not compare to a price-is-no-option Outerlimits. If money mattered, then a Saber 41 would probably beat it out.

412 Formula - triples are the kiss of death. Also, such limited headroom, and the shallow cockpit. Beautiful lines, efficiency, and build quality almost makes up for the drawbacks. Almost.

43 Donzi - gets lost in the competition. A very nice boat, however. But not as fast as a Fountain, as quality as an Outerlimits or Cigarette, or as good a value as a Saber.

Wicked Won is nice but broke all the time and the owner had enough frustations...got out of Hi-Perf boats after that one. :(

The big Formula go-fast is the 419. They still have the molds and will build on special request ($$$$$$).

Next year, the 43 Active Thunder will be on the water.

Personally, I really like the Formula 400SS and the Donzi 39ZSC.

Black Thunders are the biggest fast boat out there. And probably the fastest big boat also. Here's ours goes 78 with 2 540's and Bravos and another one at Lotto Shoutout went 117 with a pair of 1250 hp engines.

Mr Dietz did sell WW and the new owner was rocking it out in 4-6 foot waves this weekend on Lake Michigan without anyone to run with. The boat has run great all summer. Mr Dietz had a few problems with the sterlings but he had more problems with some of the people who run in poker runs and that is why he sold WW. BTW The motors are 1200hp on race gas and it has run 109. Hardly a care free boating package but simply awesome when it blows on the big lake. LEOPAJM's has 1075 mercs and has run very close to the same. NK

As NautiKitty said and explained, WickedWon didn't get out of Hi-Perf boats cause of mechanical problems! And to my understanding it was basically a poker run only boat!
And was always ready for those events, Mr. Dietz was fully aware of what he designed built and continued to improve over the years, which was one Bad Azz machine for a sole purpose and his true passion. We need more people like him back in the sport that are here cause it was the passion, it's in the blood, and there out there for the people and the times. (Not who's king of king's or flashiest etc.) Sad that he left for other reason's, those who met him or new him, would agree that he along with his wife Mary were and are some of the most humble, sweetest, and down to earth people. Rare find these days !!

Anyway's WickedWon was always maintained above standards! And is still one of the sweetest hard core boats out there. In my opinion, Mr.Dietz was bringing the standard back to what it supposed to be. Hardcore, built to take the punishment delt out by the waters encountered.

Heard a statement either by Mr. Dietz or by Saber regarding his boat. ( If it doesn't have purpose in the way that boat performs, then don't put it on the boat, cause it will only break in running conditions! ) Very True !

I saw a huge Cig at the Miami show with triple 850's. It was called a Maurader and I think it was 50'. They don't have it on their website so I don't know much about it, except it was beyond sick! If I had really deep pockets, I'd be hauling around in that with triple 1075's. :evilb: :evilb: :evilb: But I don't.........my pockets are shallower than a Florida retention pond in Febuary
