It's backed by the Federal Trade Commission, so I don't think they would be scamming us. It's legit.

same website I used to opt out my whole family and friends, I did it about 2 yrs ago and stopped receiving all the credit card offers and such, its legit and entering your social security number is the only way to make sure the system gets you out. If you ever listen to Clark Howard this is the website he recommends. Im in finance it works
