that boat was a "open". the ad description pics you can see where they added to the helm/passenger bulkheads to extend them aft. you can see the seating area forward...

that was alot of money spent for them to do that work.

you get limited on space once you put blowers with those long snouts and transmissions.

plus you don't have much in the way of covering those puffers .
i am planning on doing something "raised" but to match the lines of the hull/deck.

mine has one fuel cell 110 gallons..

don saw beauty in the lines building them back in the day ....

ratman- i'll pm you my #.. all i do is 1st class work ...we can talk glass, paint all you want...

Sorry man must be the scotch but I don't see it.
It looks just like my boat and the extension you speak of (if I understand) only extends the dash and covers the hatch to the cabin. I don't see any seating forward.
Like I said before maybe its the scotch though...

scotch penalty- declined sober this morning. look at the seatback on the foward bulkhead.i'm not the best with color pencil on the puter..

you can see the teak strips running on the edge of the seating area at the bottom closest to the floor. this was for additional cushions. the "open" boat also came with a canvas cover to enclose this area for more sleeping space.

this was a "fishing " model and you could sleep 7 or so people in it 3 in the cabin , 4 more across the "open" area too with the canvas cover. just toss the extra cushions in the cabin and back to fishing the next morning. i even looked at 1 that had it set up for bunk bed on each side. that boat though had the snot beat out of it with alot of bottom and deck damage.

I think it is a 28SS as the ad states.
I don't see any of the areas that you are describing in the pics of this boat.
1) The deck is flat all the way to the point of the bow just like a 28SS (not raised like the opens).
2) The hatch in the center of the new dash is the door to enter the cabin (just like my 28SS).
3) The fairing is the same as the 28SS.
Must be a 28SS not a converted open as they would have had to completely remove the top cap and build a new one and laminate in on (you could buy a 28SS for what that would cost).

This what I am not in agreement with, I think the one on ebay is an SS not a converted open.
Thats all.
