Fountain does not rig the 38TE with twins (300 or any other engine)...your poll is scewed. Also with the exception on the Midnight express the Fountain 38 is much much bigger than the other you listed and a totally differnt style of CC. I had a 36 Concept (7,000lbs rigged with normal load) and now have a 38TE Fountain (14,000lbs rigged with normal load) with triple 275 Verado's and the Fountain is twice as heavy and twice the size and feel of the Concept. The Fountain make the Concept feel like a toy in comparison.

Does the fountain get as flighty as the Concept? My frind has a 2006 36 with twin 250 verados and he always has to back off the throttles around 58 because it scares the crap otu of you!

No the Fountain is not flighty like the Concept. Just ask a few that ran with me on the OPBA Labor Day Poker Run. That is one of the reasons I sold my 36 Concept after owning it for only 1 year 5 months.

MIdnight exspress would be my choice with money as no object here but that is not the case.....Donzi ...for the money gets my vote but would have to have some 300 HP four strokes on it.

I like the donzi CCs too. The water patrol out here got new ones this year with twin 250 optis. Nice boats....look huge

We just purchased a fountain 38 te center console w/ quad 275 verado's. Boat runs 80 and solid through the head sea, a little touchy in the following sea, but that is due to the four motors forcing the outermotors a little to far outboard.

With the exception of the midnight express The other boats do not compare to the fountain, and the midnight express is SLOW in comparison to the fountain, and burns a ton of fuel.

We looked at the donzi and the midnight express and I found the fit and finish on the other boats to be better than the fountain, but the ride and the handling made the decision for me.

Nope my Concept had 2 Merc 250 efi's (2 strokes) much lighter weight than Verado's. I'd imagine that Verado's on this boat would make it even more tail heavy.
There is a 36 Concept up the bay from me with twin 250 Verado's and my 250 efi's left him in my wake.
Agree pretty much with Animalhouse but I too looked at the Donzi 38CC and liked it but I found the Fountain fit and finsih to be just as good. However I did find the build quality of the Fountain hull and deck to be superior to most of the boats. Go wack your fist on the side of some of these boats and they sound like a thin drum and then go wack the side of a 38TE Fountain. The Fountain is stout!!!! Fountain could improve the look of the wiring under the helm though other than that the rigging of the steering and engines on my boat are awesome.
