Prob a re post .But ck out the boat cutting in front of a coast guard boat.How can you drive a boat and not pay attention Even on my river here I looking behind me all the time seeing if someone is trying to pass

Granted, the guys in the small boat are idiots. But, It seems like the CG boat could of avoided that collision??

Uhhhhh...the idiot award goes to the captain of the CG boat not the other guy. And he did not "cut off" the CG boat. That was a crossing situation and the CG boat was the give-way vessel. The other guy was the stand-on vessel..... The CG boat was in the wrong....rule 15.....

"When two power-driven vessels are crossing so as to involve risk of collision, the vessel which has the other on her own starboard side shall keep out of the way and shall, if the circumstances of the case admit, avoid crossing ahead of the other vessel."

Dave you are correct. there is another video of a CG boat floating around where they were actually trying to stop someone and they ended up colliding with them. Was very similar to this video, only difference was they were trying to do an on water stop. The CG was found negligible as they didn't observe the rules of the road.
