You can never leave boating, a hot day on the boat is better than a hot day in a car. Good luck and watch your legs on those pipes.

You may recall the idiot that parked my Powerplay under a tree last year and the deck was stained.

When you compare the costs it was a no brainer for me....

Boat - $100K
1 tank of fuel - 225 gallons
Insurance - $2,500 yr
Maintenence - expensive x2 (twinns)

Cobra - $60K
1 tank of fuel 17 gallons (that's 13.25 fillups vs. the boat)
Insurance - $600yr
Maintence - not much...427 Roush motor has a 2 yr / 24K mile warranty and only costs $15K new!!!

You can see the cost difference is huge...I can also sell my truck ($780 payment) and my house ($2,100 payment) Life will be easier.
and a house too......holy chit!!!.......I think you can boat for considerably less than that!!!........try a single engine boat (like 26 - 28ft..... 5 or more yrs old......hop it up.....have fun with it!!!) , a used (paid for) truck and a trailer........and the cobra

The second best thing to owning a nice boat is having a friend with a nice boat. I'm sure you have one...

Did the car thing for 30 years. Made money on all the cars I restored. Got into boating because you don't have to worry about every water spot and stone chip. Still have two old Vettes just for fun,. Every once in a while I show this one.

Good luck.
