Well said. Their level of customer service seems to exceed all others in the marine industry. Just my .02. keep up the great work O.L.

When you first said they helped "clean out the cooler", I thought you were refering to the one full of BEER!

It's not very often that the manufacturer does more than cash your check and the OL crew will be an example that few will follow! Thanks for being professionals guys!

After getting to meet these guys (Mike and the CREW) this year, I am seriously looking into an Outerlimits. Oh I didn't say I don't get great service from MTI or that I want to get rid of Superman. I guess I need to get a CC anyway, might as well be an Outerlimits.

I will say, the wife and I purchased a new '07 43' V Nor-Tech. Terry and the support staff have been awesome. From conception through delivery and use they've been outstanding and are always a phone call away and helpful at a moments notice. Would go through this process with NT again without a second thought. Thanks NT. Laurie & Tracy

Assuming no water enters the core materials from the inside of the hull (assuming balsa)- I really don't see the big deal.

Drain out the water, drain engines(pull heads if necessary), replace necessary electronics.

Completely fixable.

I know it cost money- but the boat isn't junk.

Wrinkle,
I agree with you completely. Terry and Trond are great to deal with. I have built several motors for Nortechs and can't wait to do more. They are truly a custom boat builder. Whatever I have needed for the motors, they came through. People who know me, know that I am a huge fan of Nortechs.
The only experience that I have had with Outerlimits was my previous statement. I have never built a motor for them, though I would love to (hint, hint, hint). For them to jump in there and help me like that just amazed me. Eddie

An owner of this Sonic had developed some trouble with only minutes to leave for the Atlantic City Poker Run.

Outerlimits Support Team was there to help him make the run...

Also note that Outelimits now includes the http://www.tresmartinperformance.com/ Hi Performance Boating Course in the purchase of their new boats...

As far as this 51 in Ft Lauderdale, from what I was told the boat was pumped and there were no visible signs of a leak anywhere...

That makes me seem to think someone with evil in them at night decided to put a fresh water hose in the boat, turned it on and walked away. An investigation is pending...
If that is the case, I hope the catch the bastard!

From what I understand, Mike owns that Ford dealer.

I have to agree with Sharkey, the whole OL team is second to none when it comes to supporting this sport and anyone involved no matter what they run.

Unfortunately, the boat will always be known as "The OL51 that sank..." That alone will put a dent in the boats value.

Downtown42 05-15-2007 09:39 PM

what was the cause of this? Anyone know the facts?

LubeJobs42 05-15-2007 10:59 PM

Mike and his crew are great guys! The support they give their customers is unequaled in the industry. Mikes crew is up early uncovering and washing all of the outerlimits on the run. I would love to have that service. i would be happy to pay for it. I have been in the back of the Outerlimits trucks quite a few times looking for parts where if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have made the run.

Mike does not own Place Ford. They are just very good guys and Ol and them work together on the build and sales of the larger trucks to be sold with the boats. Excelent people at Place Ford.

Sorry, misinformed. When I was talking with Mike @ Typhoon last year (NJPPC A/C poker run) about the new Z-06 he was driving he said being partnered up with a car dealership has its perks.

I've been wondering myself what the result of the following was:

"There is currently a criminal felony investigation being conducted over something that occured at the boat show."

Did someone sink it, or was it simply an accident?

Sea-Dated 05-16-2007 11:57 AM

I heard it was intentional but can not confirm this.

JonMangual 05-16-2007 12:38 PM

Mike and Outerlimits are an exceptional group of guys. I have participated in a couple of Poker Runs with them and have seen first hand how helpful unselfish they can be!!! Hopefully some day I can afford an Outerlimits to Poker Run in!!!:D
