Young Performance 750 HP- Latest engine
Here are a few pictures of the latest engines to come from Young Performance Marine. As some of you know, I was building motors for TMP for several years. I built the motors for Cyclone, Nashville Catz, Jassman's Nortech and many others. I left TMP almost a year ago to work on my own, and it was the best decision of my life.
A few specs on the motors: Merlin III block with billet main caps Lunati Blower series crank Oliver billet rods JE pistons Dart Pro I heads Custom 12 qt oil pan Crane hyd. roller cam Manley SS intake valves, Inconel exhaust valves Dart intake Serpentine accessories Custom electronics bracket MSD ignition; dist.,coil, box and rev limiter House of Kolor paint and clear That is just a few of the parts in the motor. Every part in our motors is from some of the best in the industry. Most importantly, this motor has a one year warranty. Pics to follow. Thanks, Eddie |

And most importantly, the dyno results.
The first motor made 772 HP at 5300 and 798 FT Lbs of torque at 4800 rpm The second motor made 765 HP at 5400 rpm and about the same for torque as the first one. |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
what color orange is that
|
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Slingshot,
The color is tangelo from House of Kolor. It is loaded with pearl, but you can't see it in the picture. It doesn't show up under flourescent lights, but it really pops when it's in the sunlight. |

Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Semper Fi,
Thank you for the kind words. Best of luck to you with the Cobra if you get it. Hope to see you with a boat again soon. If I can do anything for you, feel free to call anytime. RBR, These motors are a little more expensive than the usual 750's because of some of the parts. They were built to accept some Whipple's in the near future. The normal 750's have a Lunati crank, just not the blower series. There are a few other minor differences. Basically, these motors as they sit are $32,000 as a carb and $37,000 as an EFI. Like I said, they have some extra money in them for some upgraded parts. They all carry a one year warranty. |

Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
771.8 HP at 5300 and 798 ft/lbs of torque at 4800. They have a very smooth idle (Hydraulic Roller) and sound awesome!! Not to mention the torque curve is very broad. Eddie, you da man!! Thanks again!! :D :D

Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
like the serpentine set up... is that a MSD billet alternator...
hows your people up there going ...see the truck/trailer in the backround...hope all is well... |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Open,
Actually, the alternator is chromed. It is a one wire 98 amp GM style. Bruce (my people) is doing very good physically, seems about as good as can be expected mentally. We do still have the truck and trailer, which is for sale if you are interested. :D Willing to make a deal. Eddie |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine

Great job as usual! Bill's Nortech is running great after the dist. rebuilds. Thanks again for all the phone help, greatly appreciated! :D Keep in mind if you know anyone looking for a beautiful boat that Bill's is for sale! With your motors in it. I'll be calling you in the future for some motors. We have a few customers looking to up grade. Take care! John S. :D |

Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments. I am really proud of the look and the performance of the motors. I put every thing I have into each and every motor so it is great when it all comes together.
Smitty, It wasn't so much the elevation as it was absolutely horrible weather to make power. It had been raining for 3 days straight and we were pulling air through an open door about 3 feet from the motor. We were actually pulling rain in with the blowers in the room. After a pull, the side of the motor was soaking wet. The sensor for air temp and humidity was right on top of the carb, so I am confident in the correction. The barometer for the 3 days never got above 28.40. Coming from La., you get used to big corrections with the weather there, usually 100 degrees with 200% humidity in the summer. The ultimate dyno is the boat, and I am confident that the motors will do what they are supposed to do as far as speed is concerned. Old School, The lifters in these are Morel's. I have had excellent luck with them in the past. By the way, that is a REAL one year warranty, no BS. I stand behind them 100%. Open, It has and will continue to be a long, tough road. I have had so much happen in the last year, it has got to be about time for something good to happen. Thanks for your concern, I really do appreciate it. Thanks to all, Eddie |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Thanks for the straightforward answer,I'm sure it will be a good runner,Smitty

Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine

Mark |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
No problem Smitty.
Mark, Haven't heard from you in a while. Sooner or later you will have a pair of my motors. :D If I can do anything meantime, please give me a call. Eddie |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Yeah, I figured I'd let the dust settle on your move before I bothered you... ;)
And I am shooting for sooner than later. |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
No bother at all. The dust has settled. Say the word and we can rock and roll :D
I'm thinking something in the 1200 hp range :D :D What do you think??? |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Thanks.
And easy there - not sure I'm ready for that kind of juice in the bilge. I'm thinkin' a bit more mild, maybe 650-ish - not lookin' for those 15 hr. oil changes and buying fuel by the 55 gal. drum just yet in my life. :D Just glad to see you back into it - we'll talk when the time comes for sure! |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
Young Performance -
What cid's are these engines ? I do some work with HVH in Knoxville, TN. What town are you in? Is it semi nearby , by any chance ? It may be worth a stop in next time I go to visit them. |
Re: Young Performance 750- Latest engine
SB,
These motors are 598ci. I am in Mt. Juliet, which is about 15-20 miles east of Nashville. If you have the chance, please stop in any time. I am new to the area, so I am not sure how far Knoxville is. I think it is about 2 hours. |
