Oil In Bilge
 

I Have A Few Tea Spoons Of Oil In My Bilge After 120 Mile Run Sunday At 3000rpm With 4 1 Min Wot. The Oil Is Comming From The Push In Vents On The Valve Covers And Running Down The Sides. What Do I Need To Fix This Problem?

I REALLY DO NOT LIKE THE LOOKS OF THE HOSES COMMING FROM THE COVERS TO THE AIR CLEANER.

Were you running in Clear Lake this weeked? I ran the Scarab on sunday.

Sounds like crank case pressure. I think most the time its routed back into the engine via a pcv valve or something.

Sure Was. I Made The Run Down To Stingaree IN THE Scarab And A 22 Donzi. Perfect Day.

I Really Do Not Want To Run It Back Into The Manifold With A Pcv.

Do They Make Some Sort Of Collection Tank That I Can Drain Back Into The Pan?

Sorry we missed you guys! We ran to Topwater, then to Redfish on Sunday. Perfect weather! We ran with a 30 Superboat and a 32 Sunsation. We need to hook up...

To fix it use the hose to the air cleaner deal. I also do not like the look of the hoese. I have seen a setup with hoses to a seperate breather tank up high. But, once again hoses.

All I Can Find Are The Ones For Rice Burners. :d

If you run it to a tank, you still need a hose. Why not just use a push in breather with a hose nipple, and route it to the side or bottom of the flame arrestor?
I run that style setup and don't even have a film of oil on the valve covers. May not look the coolest, but there's NO oil in the bilge. :cool:

This is a collector that is at the back of the engine, and the hoses run to it. The collector is hung on a custom bracket, and has a drain in the bootom that can be drained after every use. Helps collect the moisture as well. These are usually seen on drag applications but work wonderful on boats...also looks pretty trick.

NO PROBLEM WITH HOSES EXCEPT THE ONES THAT GO TO THE CLEANER
