I don't know for sure, but it is either in a field next to Nigel Hook's old shop in Calif.....stripped and full of water.......or....in a warehouse in Arizona....or...in Japan. I have been told all three stories with equal sincerity by the authors.......
bottom line...................beats me.
Ron:
The motors were.......four valve overhead cam aluminum big blocks......built by Cyril Batten (The architect behind the Olds Quad Four motor)....allegedly 1000 lbs of torque each.... the only ones of their kind...and they might as well have been made out of polyethylene..... because as you planed the boat off and accelerated, you could watch the tachs climb to max rpm and then fall back as each one grenaded one by one.
The only way the boat was able to race was with the engines drastically detuned.
But....Ah.....those wonderful transmissions , drives and props.

Good Question......When is Skaterfest?.......I'm hearing that a lot lately.
Once the racing bodies finish setting their dates....I'll post something...and please bring the Old Man.....All you have to do is put him together with Linder and the conversation is good for a minimum of 4 hours.
Oh by the way...here's another one.

I know the Capt-n-america was in powerboat several years ago, and was cheap cheap, and then i talked to one of the guys from lake-x who said a young guy picked it up completely re-rigged it with new mercs for a play boat... Bet it hauls now...
