Talk about old cats, I saw this in a far off the beaten track shed in Florida last week. An old #16 SEI Arneson drive on an Kevalr Active cat (mid 80's?). Unfortunately my disc was full and the pics were limited but so was the lighting(using a flashlight and flash).
In the next stall was an old, old, old, aluminum 40 ft Cougar cat. Extremely low profile with sponson extensions!!! Has ASD#8's hanging on the back and was set up for turbines many years ago. Excellent shape. Both pieces of history are setting under canvas waiting for some one to love them again. Sitting outside was a 47 Apache kevlar center console which formerly had 3 diesel's. |

thats great to see the Jesse James boat being kept in its original form. that boat was/is always one of my favorite. what kind of drives are those on the boat? anybody have any idea?

I think T2x and crew designed and built those drives. So, that would make them OBSOLETE (and yet still WAY AHEAD of their time or even ahead of where drive designs are today)! :evilb: Of course, I could be wrong...it has happened once or twice.

They are for sale but his pricing is ridiculous. The Active is on e-bay. If you can't find it let me know. An Active is essentially an Ocean Express.
Not much body work but everything else needs lots of lovin. |

I believe Dave is talking about the drives on the old JJ Chris Cat.... which were #4 MC's...and, for the record, we did not design them. ( We did design the boat). The drives we designed and built from scratch were the fixed drives on the 48' Jesse James.... a boat we (George Linder, Ken Adams and yours truly) also created. T2x |
