Have you got in touch with your local marinas or boat dealerships yet? Remember, they have a lot to lose if something like this passes.

Check out BESAFE, Boating Safety for Events is a not for profit established specifically to develop safety plans and best practices for organized powerboating events. www.Boatingsafe.org The best practices document is a living one and is currently being updated with recent amendments. You can also obtain our risk management tool which is designed to implement specific safety measures for different events. The idea is not all events are created equally so a simple checklist is not always practical. These safety measures are designed to promote performance boating.
