For the Insurance/Poker run naysayers

for those of you that jumped all over me when I was pissed about the "cat killer" speed video at poker runs. I was on the phone today with a friend that had his insurance cancelled today because he posted the speed on here and it got reported to his insurance company. Seems an "anonymous" person on here sent it to his carrier.

So it seems the insurance industry is monitering the board.

to the person that sent the "anonymous" email, we do know who you are and once it gets sorted out my friend will let everyone know how and who you are.

Re: For the Insurance/Poker run naysayers

but on the same token, if he lied about his top speed and was involved in an accident and the real speeds came to light coverage would be denied anyway...and believe me this doesnt justify what was done to him

Re: For the Insurance/Poker run naysayers

Hell, I'd be willing to bet there are more people on here posting higher speeds than they can run.

Wonder what makes someone involve themselves in others business? It's not a particularly kind act.

To the insurance companies.....How can you tell when a powerboater is lieing about how fast his boat is? When his lips are moving.

In other words, lighten up insurance guys.
:D
That said it would probably be wise to:
A. Be forthright with your insurance company
B. Not post anything on a public forum you didn't wish the world to know.

I'd like to think we could jerk each others chains a bit with tall tales of our 180 mph boats, but it appears the screws might take us literally. :(

he asked me not to say whom, but wanted everyone to know that there was some foul play involved and to just cover your backs.

I would assume that you would have to go after the person responsible with a civil action then. maybe one of the attorneys on here will pipe in.

Towing/trailering is another item the insurance companies can be looking at, I guess we are all under the microscope.

So the policy/insurance is still in place? Regardless the person that reported must be outted. Watch what you say, you never know.

Re: For the Insurance/Poker run naysayers

The main question I have in this is:
What is/was the motive??
Why the hell would someone do that?? Just to be a D-bag??

Agreed, it should have already been disclosed to the Ins. Co. the true speeds/HP, otherwise, the insurance is worthless.

This person needs to be outed. Keeping his identity secret will do nothing...

It's like saying..... yeah, I got totaly screwed by this engine builder.....but I won't tell you his name.... :(

so it was another high performance insurance agency?
if so, that narrows it down to only a few since you guys almost have a monopoly as it is.
