I have fantasies of that type of garage then I think of all the junk that could get stored there, then the nighmare begins.
I know a guy who bought a 6,000 sq ft condo warehouse to use partially as an office and the other 90% to work on cars. It has turned into a garage for everyone he has ever met to store cars/parts/bikes/quads. Looks cool but he has a lot of freeloaders taking cars apart that may never get reassembled. Lots of Mopar stuff but a sad Alfa Romeo tucked into the corner is a reminder of the junk collecting in there.

I do too. I think we just have to wait to see a picture of it next year and it will not look so big.
Once all the work benches and shelving goes in it gets smaller.I put a lift in mine and it buys me another parking spot. Nice job, looks good.

.......Im going with a conventional furnace instead of a unit heater.......I'll be able to duct warm air exactly where I want it (at floor level.....near work benches etc) without having to warm up the whole shop if Im just going to be out there for an hour or so.......also I'll be able to pull (cold) return air off floor level and get a flow going.....unit heaters blow hot air and get return air from high up near the cieling, it will want to stick around up there (hot air rises)......some fans to blow it down to floor level will help..........doug
