Go with a 26 Sutphen if you can go that big. They have a great ride. Its worth the extra length for Block, Vinyard ect...

So I assume you are looking for a used one... ?

They are well built.

For a new one, they are a bit pricey over their competitors, but I do believe they are vacuum bagged and that could explain the extra cost.

Have a look at their Construction: Boat Building Link

To me, in water you boat in it would be a good idea to maybe look for a twin small block boat so if anything happened you could always motor home. I'll keep my eye out for you.

A real nice one up in your neck of the woods, but I doubt the owner would part with it.... http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/...00&ppuser=2319

Progression makes a really high quality boat. A little pricey for new ones but the old addage applies: You get what you pay for!

Mike

They are great boats as everyone here has already stated. I am currently on my second one. I had a 27 with a 500hp that I made many crossings to Block Island with. In fact my wife and I used to go all the time and spend the weekend on it at Champlins probably 5 or 6 times a summer. Last year I had Kevin build me a 29 and I absolutly love the boat. You will not be dissappointed at all whatever size Progression you buy. If you want I will take you for a ride on mine anytime.

When the weather get warm again I will take you for a ride. I am always out on the east end of Long Island. My parents have a summer house in Shelter Island. That picture from NYC was a sausage fest but we still were able to achieve a good speed with two cooler fulls of beer and food. Not too mention me and 4 of my friends. You can contact me anytime if you want to BS about the boat. I have sent you a PM with my number....
