Re: Which Sit Down is the best
I'd take a Zr Comp.
|
Re: Which Sit Down is the best
I ment to add to my post that the Donzi ZR has no leg room. If you are over 6'1 or 2" you might not fit.

Re: Which Sit Down is the best
In the front seats of the Gladiator there is no wind at all. I was on a regular Zr and was sitting down in the back bolster. I perfer sitting down, but I think standing would have been better for the back since the wind is already in your face.

Re: Which Sit Down is the best
my problem is I can't stand anymore  :D working out after the last surgery 6 weeks ago I am only working with 2lbs  and after 30 reps the knee is killing me  and to top it off they gave me corisone the other day thats a band aid  . but anyways if this won't work soon I told then to just replace it, I'm loosing count on the surgerys last 3 were 2004 and 2006 gees, and like I said with my fairing I'm sitting just right and the wind doesn't pull on you at my slow speeds which is fast for a baja :p

Please don't refer to your Baja as an OL. I understand it's short for OUTLAW. That is for Outerlimits as it's the OSO tag for their brand. I don't think it's too hard to type in the extra 2 letters for Baja instead of OL...... Of course, I am probably just being irritated because you are making me think at 2am on a Friday night... :drink: :drink: |

Re: Which Sit Down is the best
I don't think a baja should be refered to as an OL either, but what really gets me even worse is when the " (inch) is used instead of the ' for foot.
24" ---> twenty four inches 24' ---> twenty four feet Ernie |
Re: Which Sit Down is the best
okay okay BAJA 24OL :p :p :p JUST THINK IF MIKE MADE A 24' IT WOULD ONLY COST ABOUT 250,000 :D PS CASH go get some beauty rest :D you know sleep with hot babe :D

Re: Which Sit Down is the best
The 37 GTX is the wrong choice for this thread, there were only 3 of them made, where as the 39 gtx is a better choice.
I have run a 39 gtx w/ 850's crazy acceleration, and great rough water handeling. I have ridden in a gladiator, was nice, but not the ride I was looking for, and I haven't ridden in a fountain poker run, but have heard mixed opinions. It is a matter of personal preference, but they are all pretty good boats. |
[QUOTE=
a 36 glad is a bad ass boat but needs merc 5 blds and a set of 750's t orun pretty much maintanance free. again i have rigged and run this boat. . Monstaaa, That does not make sense. Why would you need 750,s to run maintenance free? Maybe you meant to run 100 MPH plus?
forgot to add richie zul to that statement. couple more pics. p.s the 42 poker run has suspension seats , which truly do absorb any back jarring experienced in other sitdowns. how ever this really only helps in truly ruuf waters or in moderate water at speeds over 120 or more. |

Well Trader.... I might as well put my 2 cents in. I own the 37 GTX that I believe you said you wanted for your next boat in an earlier thread. All of this chatter drives me nuts. These guys know nothing about this boat. http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-13104.html I have never driven a Glad or a Donzi, so I certainly won't put them down, but I can tell you it rides better than any of the 10 Fountains I've driven, or the 3 Slingshots I've owned. As for the 36 Glad guy, with the Zul's...... ask him why he couldn't catch me for the entire first leg of the 2006 NYC Poker Run????? It was just us two out front and I drove away from him. My boat runs 108mph (105 every day). Same power. I had 5 guys on board and a full tank of fuel. This boat flies, and it NEVER gets out of shape! My grandmother could drive it at 100mph! There is nothing out there right now that will out perform this one for the money! Both motors are brand new! Those Cobras, were tired so I trashed them. In rough water there isn't one creak, or rattle, or shake. The thing just rocks. I hate getting involved in these pissing matches, but they're comical. Have a chat with Paul Fiore, and ask him about how the boat is built. The reason they didn't build more than 4, is that they couldn't charge enough. It is so over built, the profit margin compared to the price point was too low. They would have had to charge $600 plus for the boat to continue to build it and make money.....ask him. I hope this helps you, and if you are still interested in the boat, let me know. It's perfect! All you fellas that think you know this boat...... DON'T KID YOURSELF. Come for a ride, and you'll be a believer. |
Re: Which Sit Down is the best
I am appreciative to everyone who has put their opinions in on this thread! it is exactly what I am looking for and I do intend on driving each one to see what I like the best. As for a side note I wish everyone a happy healthy and safe holiday season! Lets be careful out there so we can all be on the water soon!

The 38 ZR Comp will be complete by Miami boat show and hopefully in the water for testing. this what she will sort of look like the painting is rough because I did it to send to Donzi. This boat should run awesome with the 700 Package the 38 ZR stand up performs excelent, I can imagine how the 38 Comp is going to run with the same package.
