I have driven the Donzi ZR and the Gladiator. The donzi was older but had a nice heavy feel and ran Okay with 500EFI's. My back still hurts from SOTW this year in a Gladiator. Thats the only 2 that I have experience with. A 42PR with 6's is a boat I would like to run.

The Zr has no cabin. They built one with a half cabin with access from the deck hatches. The 37 Ol GTX is the only one that has a cabin. All Zr's are built as race boats. The Gladiator is a more flashy boat, the OL is an OL, and the Fountain has the hull but not quality. I've heard the 37OL likes to ride on that one step and it's not a very comforable ride for passengers. It's all personal preference as mentioned multiple times in this thread.

Plus the Ol cabin in the 37 is good for kids only. We are talking small.

Yep, it's pretty much useless. It's only good for storage which the others have up front trough deck hatches.

You have to count the 38ZR Comp.. One of the nicest sit down v hulls on the market, we are building one with 700 NXTs. Solid ride and can fly straight when she hits big rollers, doesn't kill your back and there is no chine walk at all, we had one that ran 120mph and I loved the boat.

Matt,

Everyone's "perceptions" here are different. Then you have the guys who own name brand "X" and say it's the best, no matter what.

Bottom line is you have to go see each boat personally and run them-- then decide which is best for you and your needs.

P.S...... The Virgin Gladiator is in the classifieds for $100K. Looks like a sweet deal to me.
