Y.... coming down late this Thur., sea-trialing the new boat Fri. I'll give you a call. Maybe we can catch up for lunch Sat. before heading home. Otherwise, I'm sure I'll bump into you sometime over New Year's Weekend. Looks like you guys have some nice repeat business ----- that's when you know you're doing it right! Very nice. I can see why you joined 'em! Joe P.S. Pplz. don't encourage Tim --- he's already started the whole "Joey" thing... most likely b/c there isn't much we can do with his name. However, if you come up with something good, give me a call --- he's over due for a good ribbing! :p ). |
Re: Merc 700 Sci
so the question remains, can we use the NXT gimble assembly with a 6? this would make the transom conversions much easier..

I think the NXT cutout is actually bigger than 6, so i'm gonna say prolly not. Longer top to bottom.

....and I'm not saying this because I am a Cig. fan. No PR here. Just sharing info on the new stuff. The NXT's did initially have tranny problems. It got worked out quickly though. Joe I will second this. I rode in the silver and red factory 700/NxT 39 TGU (now owned by Andy Smith) from Miami to KW the weekend of the poker run and it ran like a dream for extended periods in 2-3" seas at 100+ mph. A truly bad-ass package in that boat. |
