Has anyone seen either of these drives in use? How well do they perform?

Looks like a special prop 25 spline.
Surface drive would have a serious drive shaft angle!!
Not that great looking!!!
Oh yea never heard of them before know.Never seen them at any show high performance or other.

look pretty straight fwd....surface drive with a tunnel deal over it...german made of course so have fun findin parts for it.

Tosses a good tail in this video.

Looks like it has stock XR size gears in the top.Whats the HP rating?There just claimimng faster

That's a Saro drive, isn't it? Wasn't Dana boats using those a while back?

I could be wrong, but it did not look like it was throwing a tail until he trimmed it way up, and then the boat was bobbing and weaving all over the place.
