I stand corrected regarding Rik's qualifications on the transom notch.
I just wanted to make a precautionary note regarding notches.

I agree in what you are saying. On a diesel application such as mine, the only way to go is Surface drives. My resale in this application will not suffer, the Arneson's are lighter, shorter by 6", and can handle more power as well as are slightly more effecient than the #6. I also took the notch out of the transom. Don't get me wrong, I do like the #6, and it has proven itself over time, just some times it's good to look at other alternatives other than Black. Jeff

Why do MTI's with surface drives sell for so much more money than number 6 boats? between this site and Boattraderonline The BPM is pretty much an Arneson other than the case.

2006 BPM $550
2006 BPM $975
2007 BPM call appears to be over 7
2002 BPM call "
2006 BPM call "
2002 BPM $499

2006 #6 $499
2001 #6 499
