You can also set up fraud protection through discover card. I lost my wallet Saturday and had to do this.

I subscribe to a service through Trans_Union that monitors my credit in all three bureaus and notifies me when there is any change in my status.

Well worth the $40 they charge annually.

Amex has a good one too, lets you pull once a day and will email to update you of changes...pulling multiple times actually can do whats called bumping and knock hard inquiries off equifax and transunion, if you pull every day for a couple months suddenly inquiries start to vanish...pretty cool trick i found out on the internet.

I think I pay like $10 a month but its well worth it to be able to get a complete picture at any time.
