what should i do ?!
 
I bought a boat in november '06 it was supposed to be turnkey and should have a speedmaster #5 on it.
But neither of it was the case , the balsacore is all rotten and
its a speedmaster # 4 wich is not rebuild like the seller claimed instead the upper gear is all burned up.

please sombody help me .:eek:

It's not what you should do, Instead it is what you should have done.
Back in November, you should have had the boat surveyed.

Sorry to put it so bluntly.

This survey everyone talks about who does them ,cost what if you live at some distance the reason i ask i am looking for a boat

SAMS is the other one. Always make sure you call and interview your potential surveyor first. Ask for a faxed or emailed copy of a previous survey they have done, and ask for recommendations. I have purchased two boats off the net and been satisfied with the boats by doing this. The good ones are very through.

Back to the original question. It depends on what you have in writing. Does the receipt say "AS IS" and not mention #5 speedmaster or does it give specifics? Your course of action will depend on what is in writing. Good Luck

The a "as is" on a bill of sale will pretty much sum this up.
Again, not rubbing salt in wounds, - the survey would have disclosed discrepencies.
That being said, I personally probably wouldn't have a survey on a small investment - but if I'm spending major $$ - It's getting looked at first.
