For me it depends on how I am running, in the rough screamin along I stand, knees bent. When out for a cruise with the wife and kids i like to sit my fat ass down. It really depnends on the water and who my passangers are. :D :D

I definately prefer sitting. especialy in a good seat. Of all the seats I've been in Apache seats are the best.

I like to stand. It gives me a better view and when running hard seems safer.

My boats have always had bucket seats in them and I haven't spent that much time in one with bolsters. Guess I need to get out on more boats :D

I also like to stand feels nice and secure in the bolster.

under 50, stand.
over 50, sit and pray.
From some data collected over the years, 46 skater good 31 class 2 cat bad. biggers better, of course. 9 g's common on 3-4 day. If you weigh 100 that is 900 for your legs to take and spine. Its a toss up I like to sit. The faster you go the better, you tend to skip not stick.
MTI has shock seats developed at Victory Team. They take the big bumps. Shortish answer, wife sleeping me surfing.

ronp--i will have to tell ny dad to add 5 point harness s to all his horse saddles :D I agree with Milord, the smaller-pleasure boats tend to have a lot of floor space. the 23 chris that i use to run was 1.5 xs more. When i went out in 5 footers--the fun stuff, i would just pull the captains chair out of the mounts and stand. it will sure be nice now with these bolsters. :)

del sol,

Do you know flip flop Phil?

Reindl Powerboats 01-24-2002 07:31 AM

I feel it is all in the seat itself. If you can find or custom make a good one, it is way more comfortable, secure, and allows one to push the boat to the next level.

Would prefer to sit down in Skater Styled seats with a foot throttle.
