I took one several years ago when I bought my boat. Do they expire? My insurance company gives me a small break for having taken the class but they never say anything about renewals.

Carol and I took the boater safety course with the Inland game and fisheries. I went a step further and took the basic navigation class. Both were helpful. Plus, I received a discount on my boat insurance.
Someone in an earlier post said that they had taken a CPR and first aid class. My hat is off to those that do. You'll never know when you may need to know how to handle an emergency, on or off the water. I too, am CPR certified and have been an EMT for many years.
