OK .... If you were going to keep an "extra" boat in Florida to use only for poker runs ... FPC , PRA , ect ..... what would be the optimum rig ??? Lets say under $200K .... Lets hear it ???:evilb:

i would say a gladiator.. sexy, fast, cheap, stock to mild and they stay alive. the give off that " Check this out " karma type thingy. plus for p.r more people will associate it with the go fasts.

38 Top Gun T/S.....now, if your only going to go to poker runs an empty cabin is great becuase you have space to put an overnight bag and other stuff in there and can get to it from the cockpit but don't have to worry about breaking all the stuff in there. The boat means business and if your looking for something like this we may have the perfect boat for you ;)

525EFI that power this beast to 93mph all on 87 octane will keep you out front all day and return you to the dock in one piece. A perfect combination!

Where have you been? You know LS jr. loves to post that speedo pic pegged at 93 mph.

Their boat has no cabin(being an ex F2 race boat) and I have seen it walk away from other 90 MPH boats. IT RUNS 93! :D

Here ya go. This what you get from an 8000 lb F2 rocket with no cabin. T/S Gun w/525's and a cabin runs 86mph.

If you search in the Cig. forum you'll see the pic I posted of my full cabin '03 525 boat that ran 91 MPH on Herrings.... Lip-ship had it to 89 w/ 4 blade Bravo's.

It's possible ----- remember, it's not a Nor-tech "v", it's a Cig!!!!! haha.

Before you buy... look into insurance (closely). I'm STILL having issues getting a 2nd boat insured for an area that is not my primary residence.

I am glad you said that Joe, i had been wondering how that works. Most insurance companies shy away from this. I would also say to take a look at some of the new boats out there like the new Fountains(yes the f word) because they are extremely reasonable right now. Shogren had a 2007 42 for 219k. Chitload of boat for the money, dang nice paint job too.

I'm glad it's talked about :D! Here are a few more shots and some details. Nice thing about the cockpit is everyone has a bolster. With the 3 man bolster in the back, you can partially sit down or stand up which is nice and everyone is in tight during the runs. The boat was custom rigged by Lip-Ship Performance with 12inch stelling extension boxes, XR Sportmasters with 2inch shorites and has many wins under its belt. It is a Carbon Fiber/Fiberglass lay-up and truly a special boat.

Speedracer is slick too, but your 525s are a nice stock 87octane mills.

Thanks! Speed Racer is nice too! We did a lot of research and comparison on the (4) F2's and ended up with ours for a few different reasons.
