You want to get your own surveyor. do an internet search for surveyors in that area and go with a certified guy, better yet get a recommendation from somone on this board who lives near the boat that is for sale to recommend a surveyor to you. Should cost about $250 for a 22' boat. Better to throw 250 out the window on a bad boat, than to throw thousands out the window on a bad boat.

Gripperone, where s the boat at maybe one of us can look at it for you. You need to know if was a Stepp built boat or a regal built boat. You would prefer a Stepp built one. It should be a great FAST fun first boat. My first boat was similar single OB V. Check out www.ScreanandFly.com it has a ton of more info on outboard style boats. Good Luck and be safe. Hey Ryan, it is a Regal and an I/o in Texas and I think I'm going to shell out the cash and have it suveyed. I just need to find a surveyor I can trust in the area. It's long gone from ebay, plus I'd hate for someone else to pick it up from under me:D Thanks man
