I would NOT own a boat or car that someone had DIED in or on.....

I know these people that built an Italian restaurant that went bankrupt, every business since that has used that space has also failed.

My favorite Italian restaurant is located in a former funeral parlor building and its successful!!!

With automobiles and trucks there are databases (carfax etc)that track vehicle histories. Some states brand titles and track insurance claims paid history. Granted these are less than perfect but at least there are some resources to easily research vehicle history's shoudn't there be something similar for boats that cost several times what a car or truck does?
