I watched a guy pull up to our ramp at dead low tide with his 28' cabin cruiser. This ramp is very steep. He than proceeds to back up his 2-wheel drive F150 stick shift to tow the boat out. As I watched him backing up the truck I said out loud there is no way he is making it out. Of course once the boat was loaded he did nothing but spin tires.

Lucky for him I had my tow strap. Backed my truck down, hooked him up and towed the whole rig out (truck and boat) in 4-wheel low range.

I was waiting for a friend to get is boat on water then a couple were in front of him. A little princecraft trailed by a buick regal. The husband get in the bass boat and the wife try to back up on the ramp she jacknife the trailer and even go out of the ramp. So you have 1 wheel of the trailer in the air and trailer frame stuck to the pavment. The Wife come out off the car and look at is husband. My buddy ask he need help. The guy just say let's putt the princraft on ground ... the little 25hp was scrapping everywhere on the pavment.

They finish to trail the princraft on water putt it back on trailer and go back home. I laugh big time hehe wish i had bring my camera

DAVE's wife----Right on sister!!! Me too!!! We have a 382 fastech, I can back it, load it, dock it and run it like it's made to run! Heck..I even so much as loaded 5 others boats on trailers just to get them out of my way during our flood so we could leave before night fell. And yes...all were men!!! Just goes to show it's not always the wife who can't back.

Heres an interesting one for you guys....There was quite a line waiting to trailer my boat so I left my friend off at the dock and just idled around on the other side of the river to wait for the line to die down. I happened to catch two guys backing their trailer into the far launch, which is a no no where I launch at because the concrete does not go very far back on the launch. He backed in way to far and backed his trailer off the back of the ramp (it's an extremely large dropoff). He tried pulling it out, but of course his fenders were getting caught on the ledge of the concrete. I tried to warn the two guys multiple times, but they didn't listen to me and sure enough a couple of minutes after ramming it back and forth a few times the truck took off up the ramp, but with only half of their trailer dragging behind.....thats right they ripped their trailer in two and the back half of the trailer and their tandems are probably still at the bottom of the river to this day....

Thats the problem where I boat its hard enough some days to trailer with the strong current, but you also have to be looking out for the other idiots who just go out and buy boats but have no idea what they're doing nor have any boating experience.....I've seen quite a lot of funny scenario's.

I would have to say mine is waiting for the idiots that park their boat at the courtesy dock. While they wait for for the trailer to finally make it to the ramp. Only to find out they dont know how to back it down the ramp or even trailer a boat.

This is why I have a slip!

he needs to rethink the guy backing him down ramp all the time, seems to me he drives wayy to fast backwards.
