I have a Sony CD/DVD/MP3 unit. Great peice. Get one that has inputs for a MP3 player, you'll never use CD's again! Mine has the RCA inputs on the back, many have a small jack on the front for easy access. I second the remote. My radio is in the cabin and have a full function remote on the dash. Thought about adding a smaller basic remote for the transom for when the boat is on the lift. Easier to operate in the slip then.

I have a Rockford Fosgate AM/FM/CD/MP3 with input for Ipod. Has a wireless remote and a seperate wired remote I have installed in the dash.

The rest of the system is an Autotek amp for subs, and a Powerbase for mid/hi's. Two sets of Powerbase 6.5" component speaker system with 1" tweeters and crossovers. Two 12" Audiobahn subs in custom built boxes.

Pioneer or Kenwood head unit and Diamond Audio amps and speakers. Ask anyone with them at the LOTO. They are the preferred choice. I have been in a few boats with these systems and they are crystal clear untill your eardrums break. They are also bulletproof.

www.diamondaudio.com

Contact waves and wheels at the LOTO if you want more info. They are the best installers I know.

when there isn't a female aboard panting and moaning to listen to...

Kenwood head unit
-wireless remote in cabin
-wired remote at helm
-wired remote on transom
Kenwood 10 disc changer
2 kenwood amps for full range
1 Kenwood 7252 with remote for subs
4 Infinity Reference 3-ways in cockpit
2 Kenwwood 2-ways in cabin
2 10" RF Punch 2's in boxes down in the side storage.

It's a mixed bag of stock and bargains pieced together over 3 years but it sounds good enough for what I want
