Mike A gave them a heads up at the drivers meeting during the Worlds in KeyWest. Mike broke the news and the racers just looked over at Dave grinning and shaking their heads. Gotta admit, its pretty. Love the single rudder and skegs lopped off of the sixes.. Reminds of the UIM boats I raced in Italy.

Glad everyone enjoyed the ride. I know that John and I sure did! At approximately one football field per second - things were happening pretty fast.
Will have both internal and external cameras next time. Right now the only external video was taken from shore.
Thanks again for the thoughtful comments!

If you are only getting the video and not the audio, you are missing out. Freakin awesome video, but the sound of those motors screaming is unreal.
On the page where it shows the links for real audio or media player and high and low bandwith connection, at the very bottom it says you can download the entire 40 MB .avi file. (right mouse click, click "save target as" option) I'm doing that now and it's taking about 10 minutes on my T1 work connection.
Thanks David and John for the glimpse of how the other side plays...
Edit : oops shane, I thought you said only video and not audio.

If you're trying to play a .avi file using Microsoft's Media Player, I might have a fix for you (if you're doing something else, please ignore).
The avi was probably encoded using divx, which MS Media Player doesn't recognize. Try going to www.divx.com and head to the "downloads" section, then select "Codecs". D/L the codec for your operating system.
Without the right codec, Media Player treats any avi file using divx coding as a large mp3 file; so, you get audio, but no video.
I have no idea why Media Player won't automatically d/l the right codec; MS must not make any money from it
Anyway, this might solve your problem.
