If you just want to cover the hole, you could get an anodized billet vent grill. A very simple fix that would look like it belong there and it would also let a little air in to the seat compartment.

I had a hole in the boat that I could not get around to filling so I shoved a stuffed animal in there. Funny as all hell!!
