Whould you guys pay $185 for 22 letters of one color layed over another color? About 3 inch tall lettering.

I would charge $35.00 in premium cast vinyl.

$185 bucks is nuts. I've got purple over yellow for my boat numbers and for both sides was like $30.

Was that a 'boat show' special??? $185 is way high.

Yeah...$185 for red over gold. Wasnt my actual order and I asked them to call me before any work...did nothing. My local guy said 30-35 tops(i used the other guy out of convenience.) I told him to get his letters off my boat and he says most fountain owners can afford his work and that would just cost more. He said pay him what I think it is worth so that I dont go away sour...a little late since he already tried to screw me and called me cheap.

I take this line to suggest you had this guy go install the letters on your boat. $185 is real high for the letters. If he traveled to install them then he should be paid something for that too. (but still not $185!!)

Local guy here in MI, charged me $70 for Red on top of silver, removed the old AZ #'s and install my new FL #'s. $185 is way out of line!

Yes, I faxed an order to him that included one color only with the stipulation that he should call me before starting any work. I didnt know the guy, but I have had enough boats lettered to know what ballpark the price should be in and it was convenient for him to do it. Instead I get no call, multiple colors, and way outaline bill....and a smart azz comment.
