I saw the boat docked in North Beach Haven, NJ this past summer. It was totally neglected - stored in the bay water without even a cover on it. Every piece of external metal was pitted and the gel coat had some nasty brown stains. Clearly the owner had little regard for the boat.

ok tim, I hope your kidding, but I need to say this...:D, those will do nothing, they are anchored to nothing, the only thing they will float is you when you are thrown out..they are just light cargo at that point...however if you were to contac cement them to something then you start having structural pieces...:) :evilb:

The broker said the boat was rack stored and flushed after each use.

It does work. No need to attach them to anything. In the above pic, those tubes are jammed in the furthest part of the bow. There is no place for them to go.

Flotation how, you mean if the boat sinks? If that happened I wouldn't want to be around to see if it worked..

The idea is to keep the boat afloat long enough to get a line on it for towing. It has worked.

I'm not sure if this boat had them though....
