Bill, don't get me wrong I love your boat, just commenting on the fact that I don't think Nortech blew it, they make a neat cat, yes I agree safety is number one at those speeds.no doubt the OL will run and has been designed by some of the best. Can't wait to hear how it performs, See you at the shootout.

I think people just don't like the cartoon part of the Bat boat. I hope that's it because MTI is way behind Nor tech and that is WRONG and real sad.
Bills OL is right on it.

How do you figure Nortech blew building the best cat and how do you know how the OL will perform since both the builder and owner have not yet ran it. 2 totally different boats, the nortech 50 is a huge pleasure cat, the turbines are the icing on the cake, the OL is basically a canopy race boat.

Jim,
Let me start by saying you know that I have owned three Nor-techs and now I no longer do. Might one ask themselves why?The 50 Outerlimits is also a pleasure boat, but with safety in mind. If you are going to run big speeds don't you feel it is prudent to have a lid and roll cage over your head. The Ol has a full interior, generator, ac,stereo system and all the amenities that a Skater or MTI would have. As far as being run I am sure that the boat will do just fine. It is not like OL cut a section out of a larger boat. They hired a real naval architect to design the bottom. By the way how fast has that bottom gone in the last three years at the shootout. I think Nor-tech builds a fine product, but the question posed has more to do with the over all package ie looks, innovation, tooling guality, fit and finish.I don't think it has to with the builder.
