I was just at the bank. The line was crazy long. I went to the grocery store afterwards, but both I went to were so packed that you couldn't even wait and I'll to go back later. The whole city is in a state of shock. It is crazy here right now.

It should be obvious to us by now just how calculated this attack was. Notice that all of the flights were cross-county flights? They could have just as easily hijacked several commuter flights from DC to NYC, but they went for maximum impact, trying to affect as many American lives as possible. We need to remember that when we find out who is responsible, so that the same "thoughtfulness" goes into our retaliation.

They said on the radio that this is the worst attack on America since Pearl Harbor. At least the Japanese had the decency to contain their strikes to military targets, instead of innocent civilian victims like these cowards did.

Watching the fires still raging from my window, I am completely stunned and feel like vomitting. It is truly unbelievable. My prayers go out to all those who suffered today.

This is Pearl Harbor all over again.

I have to agree with the whoever said this is only similar to that fateful day in Dec 1941. At least the Japanese targeted military targets. Not inocent civilians sitting at their desks having their morning coffee and donuts. This is an act of cowardice.

Good point, Budman. At least the Japs targeted military targets (although, what are military personnel when not expecting to go to war, civilans in uniforms) But, nevertheless, this was blatant.

Plus, Palestine rejoicing? Man, this is almost like it isn't happening.

Makes me want to get my wife (who is a nurse), jump in the car and drive to NY to help....
