Go with a Teague motor with the new Whipple 5 liter blower. Makes as much power as a quad rotor but with one Supercharger. They look crazy cool. The Throttle body is super huge:D

I was just down at Teague's place and saw a set of 1000hp motors that where in for a fresh overhaul, they had 600 hrs on them:eek:

Teague stuff works and he stands behind everything he sells.

I just witnessed him take care of a Quad Rotor TCM1100 that got hurt.

Are you saying the motors had 600 hours since they had been apart or since they were originally built with multiple freshen ups in between? There are no magic valve springs, rings, lifters and other "service" parts that outlast all others by 6-1 in these 6000 rpm boosted applications. I recently tore down my 950 hp efi blower motor that had just over 100 hours on it,it could have went another 30-50 hours with the exception of a few minor things that would be addressed better in a 50,000 dollar engine but 600 hours from any of the popular combinations of blown 540,555,565,572,598 etc is quite a stretch,Smitty

Bob told me that they had 600 original hours on them. I believe him.

Point is that he builds stuff to last not just make big power.

When things are set up right and get proper maintenance there is no reason why they can't last a long time.

They guys that have built a ton of engine over a couple decades know how to make them last.
