Rinker/ Baja 262 performance boat
Picked up the March issue of Fam/Perf mag and at first glance of the cover thought they were testing a Baja 272! Very similar windshield, same overall shape, deck hatches, swim platform, sunpad, headrests....whats up wid dat???

cool looking boat...ecspecially for a rinker.
|
Rinker 26' was at Atlanta boat show..looked nice..but was 4800#..need to see actual speeds..
|
Yep, you definately can't ignore the similarities(visually, at least).
http://www.rinkerboats.com/catalog/262/Default.htm When you put your hand over the aft half of the boat, it looks a LOT like the 272's.  |
Hmmmm, Did anyone notice the bottom of the hull though?
Not Baja like there! |
I got a brochure with that Rinker in it at the Chesapeake Boat Show. I must say it looks pretty good. I believe that they can put anything up to a 496HO in it. Not the fastest boat but not bad... Hey!!! What am I saying? With a 496HO that will outrun my current ride. (Baja 232 7.4MPI)
Oh, the shame... Whupped by a Rinker... :D  :D Sean :) |
A freind of mine owns a rinker dealership and has one with the 496 ho he says it runs 70 we'll see he promised me a demo after the boat show :)
|
Based on the website, it's got a nice list of standard equipment... Gaffrig guages, Zero Effort controls, quick and quiet exhaust, decent stereo and bolsters. Offered with up to a 500 EFI with a lab finished prop. But I can still say it rhymes with stinker as it blows by me...

Saw it at the Chicago show. My buddy thought it was gorgeous, I thought it was butt ugly. And at $63,000, there are other rides I would pick...mostly used.
