Are Headers worth the money?

I was recently on CP Performance's website I was looking into buying Headers. My jaw dropped when I saw the price. Does anybody know what kind of gains you will get from this mod, or if anyone else has them cheaper? I am looking around $6200 for both motors, at CP's price. I am wondering if anyone has installed these, and if so are the gains worth the money?

Headers alone are pretty expensive for a small gain of maybe a few MPH. The big gains come from numerous mods to you power train system like head upgrades, cam, fuel system, etc. If you want more info, post your current engine spec's and someone can likely give you more specifics on the performance impact of headers only you current combination.

As stated above, Headers alone aren't "worth" the money.....but if you have other mods to stock power being installed or planned, Headers are a necessary step in achieving additional HP.

I plan to install small super chargers, aluminum heads and possibly camshafts. My engines are 350 Mags.

Yes headers will help but, they are a maintance item needed to be checked for water leakage, rust......etc. Expect to replace every few years on the most part.

MM, you have no choice w/ those motors...
tom, check stainless marine gen2 manifolds.
call and ask for brownie... tell him what you're looking to do and he'll let you know if they are enough...
i'm pretty sure they are, and you'd be done for under 4000 w/ 5yr warranty. Not as pretty as headers though.
