Prayers for my son please
 

My twenty year old son Nick got sick with a cough and a fever last Tuesday the 11th of April, went to the Dr. and was given anti-biotics, went back Saturday as they didn't seem to be working and was given some different. Tuesday this week he went back and they did a chest x-ray and saw what they thought was an aneurysm on his heart, they sent him to the emergency room where they found a mass they are calling a tumor.

further tests have shown multiple growths or tumors on his lungs. from my reading, in the absence of the biopsy results, it seems that these growths can be things other than cancer though that is less likely.

We do know that they did not find any in any other parts of his body at this point, other than that I can not give you any more information.

Apart from 4 wheeling and boating with me, Nick has never engaged in any risky behaviors, does not smoke, do drugs etc. He is studying engineering at U of H.

I know that with modern medicine that there is all kinds of good outlooks, still I have a hard time dealing with this wait for the test results.

Mark my thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. Modern medicine is wonderful but I know that from personal experience that the power of good thoughts by you, your son and everyone else and prayers really do work miracles!

Keep strong, it could very well be benign but if not he has the advantage of being young and strong. Your in our prayers.

thoughts and prayers are headed your way, think positive and try to remain calm when talking to the doctors, if possible bring a tape recorder to the appointments, it's often hard when you are under emotional stress to comprehend and retain what they tell you.

We are hoping for the best. I had a tumor removed from my throat 5 years ago, this Oct. and it was beign. So it does happen. Hang in there Wobble, and try to remain positive!

I couldn't imagine anything how I would deal with something like this and my daughter is only 6 months old... we are both in the houston area and if you family needs anything other than prayers you are welcome to call on us.
