I'd like some opinions on composite props for Volvo sterndrives. My friend has broken two blades in 4 weeks on his boat. Any info or help would be great.

Assuming the thrown blades are on Composite props, swith to AL or SS for starters. If they are filing due to impact then other things may need to be taken into consideration.

they are composite props. He rang the dealer today and a quote of 3,000 to put SS props on.

Do they normally break easily? Is it because you break one blade and replace that one, that the new stronger one puts stress on the other ones?
