Default Bad day!

I randomly checked the oil today only to find a milkshake. What really sucks is that I have yet to make it to the water with this boat. I started tearing into it hoping to find a gasket problem but no luck. Looks like I've probably got a cracked block. So, if anyone has any leads on a good or rebuildable engine (short block, long block, complete, whatever) please let me know. The current engine is a stock 330 gen V carb. Thanks.

are you sure its the block? did you check the oil cooler and exhaust risers for leaks? that would be the 2 things i would check first before i pulled the engine.

Pretty sure its the block. Its down to a shortblock sitting there now and I've checked everything as I've pulled it apart. The oil cooler is pretty much inaccessible with the engine in so I'll have to check it last. I tried to check the cooler by pressurizing it with the garden hose and watching the oil level. Nothing happened, but I'm not sure it was a very good test. Either way, I want to pull it apart to check bearings and such, so it's coming out.

I managed to get the oil cooler out and air test, but its ok. There are no visual cracks on the heads or any other top end parts. I will magnaflux everything next week if needed (if I don't find anything once the short block is out). Thanks.
