Why Hasn't This Sold Yet????

I'm just currious why this boat has not sold yet.I mean for me I am absolutley in love with this boat, not in a sexual way, just the way a man loves his boat,ya know...:D . But seriously this boat has everything,New motors, interior, paint a comfterble cabin, the whole nine....Who ever owns this boat,I love it...Unfortunetly I don't have 50k and I just bought my boat last year for 30k :( ,but if I did it would be sold,if you want to sell for 35k let me know I'm there  ...But just wanted to say great looking boat...

I've had my eye on it for a while. A Bullett would be my step up from single to twins. I'm not so keen on the graphics personaly but I would buy that boat. I could afford to buy it but the problem is, at $3 a gallon I can't afford to use it they way I use my single engine boat.

Clay Washington 04-25-2007 08:23 AM

Great looking Bullet! The paint job must be holding it back.

Shah Mat 04-25-2007 09:27 AM

Clay, I really wanted your Bullet when it was for sale. That thing is sweet looking. If I bought the one above I'd probably repaint and copy yours.

CigDaze 04-25-2007 09:37 AM

Good question. The boat looks really clean at a fair price.

gotime34 04-25-2007 10:30 AM

I don't think the paint is so horrible, if I was to paint a boat I wouldn't paint it like that, but I could certainly live with it.

I think the paint job is pretty decent as well. I am sure it looks alot better in the open water.

I wondered myself why this boat hasn't sold. I got a bachelor party in May at Broken Arrow - I think I am going to check it out for myself.

Tazz 04-25-2007 11:59 AM

It's an 89, we have to put things into perspective, 18yrs old...

Anarchy Powerboats 04-25-2007 11:59 AM

Dash looks alot better than others I've seen.

Do you see the boat, does it look like an 18yr old boat to you..When it comes to a well taken care and updated Cig age is just a number.....And I love the paint it gives it a new look....

bouyhunter 04-25-2007 04:57 PM

I notice that one everytime I go dreaming, er, I mean shopping... through the classifieds.
Looks like very well cared for.
The graphics are a little too "loud" for me, but not over-the-top Ronald McDonald. I could live with it for a few season's, then paint it something a little more subtle.
Nice boat, good price.

AIR TIME 04-25-2007 08:27 PM

ABOUT 10,000 TO MUCH, there was a blown one with 750s or 800s in plymouth mass a couple of yrs ago that was mint nice paint too, it sold for that 4 or 5yrs ago. its nice wish I had the money:rolleyes:

pshannon 04-25-2007 08:35 PM

Who actually owns the boat right NOW...Do they have any pics of this boat in the water or running,I bet it would bring a whole new perspective on the graphics.....

Madcow 04-25-2007 08:56 PM

Seems high for an 18 year old, 30" boat that probably won't do 75 MPH. Especially in this market.

carter31 here on OSO owns the boat. He buys and sells quite a few Bullets. He usually buys them and fixes them up, keeps them a year or two, and then moves on to another one. He and Kevin @ Midwest Powerboats usually work on them together. That in itself should say enough about the work performed on these boats if it's needed.

Don't be afriad of anything Carter has for sale. I have spoken to him about the last two he has had on the market. He is not afraid to tell you what is wrong and what is right about each one.

Luckily for the rest of you I have been too financially strapped to my new shop building and the construction of a new home to purchase it. If it wasn't for that we wouldn't be sitting here complaning about that price of that boat. Which IMO is a fair price. :D

If it's the boat I'm thinking of, it came from a buddy of mine in St. Louis. I'll try to get him to chime in. I know it needed some work, but it sounds like the new owner has probably fixed it up.

obnoxus 04-25-2007 10:54 PM

Its into Cafe Racer territory at that price.

In my opinion, that boat is worth the asking price. Dustin has done a nice job with all of his previous Bullets. Any Cafe that is going for 53K is a junkbox that needs a TON of work. The boat should do 75mph with that power.

The third line in my signature below is what makes OSO wonderful!!!:D :D :evilb:

OldSchool 04-26-2007 06:59 AM

Here's a link to a thread that has the speeds vs. HP in a Bullet. 500 HP's will get you 73mph. My old Bullet had about 600 per side and ran 83 on it's best day, but always 79 or so on a hot, humid day. The paint on mine was done by the same painter (Vincent Custom Paint) and still looks very good 6 years later.

I'm with you man. I think it's a sharp, clean boat at a fair price.

I'd defy anyone to find a Cafe in equal condition for 54.

Just to clarify, it is a 31' Bullet.

Good looking boat, it does look like he's made some improvements since my buddy last owned it. Probably would want to add some external steering at those speeds.

Buyer's gonna have to have the cash, tough to get a loan on an 18 year old boat. Maybe that's the problem?

Oh, I know.....someone else above said that the asking price was approaching the price of a comparable Cafe. I say nope.

I wouldn't bet on the 45K.......but 50K would still be a heck of a deal IMHO.

Here's one, 4 years newer for six grand more, which to me is a better value.

LMAO!!!! You should buy it!!!! :drink: :drink: :evilb:

h2oboy 04-26-2007 11:56 AM

That Bullet was here in St. Louis for a short time early last year. A friend of mine had it before it went back to Oklahoma. Good motors, Vincent paint, nice boat. We had it out on the river a couple of times before it sold. If I would have been in a better position, I would have bought it myself.

The value of the boat is up to the individual that buys it.

Steve_H 04-26-2007 11:58 AM

its wroth every penny!
