Vid cams automatic gain system cannot distinguish between the sound of the wind and the sounds you want. In fact most cams that record adjust when a gust of wind hits the mike, the system will drop your levels to compensate for the loud sound of the wind. As a result, your levels will rise and fall at the whim of the wind, and the sounds you want will be lost to in wind noise.
Solution - Sock it, Block it or Move! If you smoke sometimes a empty pack can fit over the mic and than put a sock over to secure. Sock's can be bought at Radio shack for under $4. The cig pack act as a reflector and that should reduce the buffeting, so engines are the loudest noise to be adjusted for!!!!!Cheers.....

Thanks, love a good vid. Next portion is not a knock on your vid's, they were enjoyed. Wind buffeting blows (pun intended), but it can be reduced.
