Okay, Okay......there is a major effort going on right now, that is trying to put together a real open ocean race that will happen in this upcoming October, 2007.

We are looking for sponsors right now....if anyone is serious about getting involved with this type of rebirth, contact me and I can get you a sponsor package.

Real open ocean racing is not a put down of any other type of racing going on today....it is simply a return to the roots of the sport.

For those who would ike to try it, this may be your vehicle to a whole new set of challenges.

"we are not in the hunt for the National Points Championship"
how in the world do the figure that? Or are they just saying in not so many words that they can't beat Fountain again and are giving up on trying?
Where did all the other Super Vs go? There are only 3 currently running and now one is running away!!
Where are all the other boats, Skater, Phantom, Bad Boy, and Platinum?
Are they all just scared or they just cant hang?

Maybe they are all just tired of Reggies chit....Or maybe they want to race on a level playing field. Just a guess.

Maybe they got while their still "winners" and before Fountain got dialed in for the rest of the season. Moving to Europe, with OL's record seems more a move to save face, an excuse; much like mechanical problem's and leaving in the middle of the night!!!!!

While driving to LA, followed a OL from Seattle to Tacoma on the I-5, me driving the speed limit to drool..So the above is not a total knock on OL. Fountain and Cat Killer they are not much better.

Cigarette with their V bottom attempt, was hopeful they would turn that into joining Fountain and OL on the race course at some point.
