Anybody have info on these boats, if so good or bad. I'm intrested in the CC Carrera boats built in FL, not the Cali baesed Carrera boats. Thanks

Sorry Jeff I beg to differ....have you seen one? Been on one?

They make a very well built CC....and Oh Yeah...."HEARD".....from who?

They are not into mass marketing like some brands....they sell them based on quality, performance and customer service. The product speaks for itself ..... Here is a pic of the 32.

FeverMike 05-05-2007 11:05 AM

TSPM, got anymore detailed pictures of these boats? I looked at them quickly at a dealer down in the Keys a few years ago. They seemed like really nice boats. Anyone know the company history?
Thanks! Mike

The boat looks great, but they have not had a website that has worked in probably a year. I just sold my Lightning and am looking for a large CC. I was told they just built one with triple 300XS that should come close to 80 mph.

Another idea is FeverMike has a sweet 38 Fountain fisher in the mid-70's w/trip Verado's for sale..

It is a very nice boat, he has towed my Lightning when the drives were stuck. I may end up buying another Fountain, but whatever I buy will be a 2008 or 2009 depending on when I can sell my house.

10'6 beam

full galley
enclosed head
sink and shower
full master stateroom
6 foot headroom thru out

That looks very nice, do you have anymore pictures of it?

Thanks for the props Mark but Driven1 lives down the street fromme and has seen my boat. I am not sure but Driven might be looking for a differnt style CC than my 38TE...however don't let my big fish boat out run ya!

Mike, will Fountain build the boat custom to what you want? And why is the 38 faster then the 34. And yes if I were looking for used, Mikes boat would be it. I'll tell ya what if I could find an honest 80 mph CC built like I want it, I would get rid of my Cats once and for all. This 2 boat crap is getting expensive.

Fountain will do certain things like seat placement to tall or short people and graphics and they will omit the forward bow rails for a sleeker look plus you can do either a t-top or arch. 4 300xs will put you well over 80 (around 85-87mph) with any type of load on a Fountain 38TE.What is it you want to change on the 38TE?

I think the beam is 9'6" on those boats. Looks like more beam than the Concept Ihad but notas wide as my Fountain. I like that they use hauz pipe and the cleats are down in the gunwale, the over all lines of the boat and the lay out and that it is a wider beam. Really good looking boat and a decent price too.

I agree that it has some nice lines on it. I wonder what a new one with triple 300XS would go for?

Yes a tad over 80 with 300's and their website will be up shortly after changing web designers mid way through the build. Let me know what pics you need and PM me your email address.

Wow I wasn't expecting it to be that high. Do you have any more info on these boats? I am serously considering either a 36 Concept, 36 Carrera, or something similar. Is there anyway to get a demo ride on one?

Thanks
Don

Not sure Mike...call Robyn down at SportsUSA. Probably about the same price or so as trip 275 V-Rods. It depends on your options and electronics package.

I just got my new Hotboat magazine and they tested the 36 Carrera with triple 300XS and only got 72+ mph? I was hoping for 80 mph with 900 hp. Boat looked pretty nice in the pictures.

OK enough with hijacking  We know your a big Concept fan but this thread is about the Carrera Line....NOT CONCEPT:p

The 36 Concept is ONLY a 8' beam so it will run a bit faster.......we are talking about 36's that are 9' or wider on this thread.

FeverMike 05-09-2007 08:52 AM

The 36 Concept is really only a 33 foot hull too. The bracket makes 35 feet and change over all length.

What is the weight difference between a 36 Concept and 36 Carrera?

Miss print maybe? I would think it would do more.

My 12,000 lbs 38 Fountain with trip 275's will do 69-70 with 400+ gallons of fuel and loaded up on bone stock props. Guy at the marina is getting 73-74 on labbed props.

Mike did the test say what the fuel mileage was at different rpm's?

Yes....good point......ALL the Concepts include the bracket as running surface (boat size) they are 2-3 feet shorter than listed sizes. The Carreras are true to size and are measured from the transom NOT the motor bracket.

Concept 36 weight 5200 LBS

Carrera 36 weight 8500 LBS
(keep in mind this boat is 1'2" wider and almost 3 feet longer than the Concept)

Ok correction the 300 xs package will run 72-75 MPH the New Verado 300 will run close to 80 from what the factory has told us.

Driven1 have you looked at Glasstream boats? They look nice but I have not checked one out in person but I am very very curious about this brand.

Anyone?

I got some flyers on them and it looked nice. But I can tell you that I did not spend more than one minute on the boat at the Miami show before I said pass. When are you going to take me out on your boat? I am boatless and getting bored.

So the Glasstream had fit and finish issues or was the lay out not good? I've never been on one.

You and the family are always welcome to go out with us. If you really miss boating you can even drive! How about next weekend we all go out maybe down to Eggmont Key and anchor off the beach or hit a local resturant? Have you ever been up the Manatee River to Mango's at Riviera Dunes? We love that place and it has awesome docking. Lisa an I also want to take a trip up to Clearwater to Frenchy's...Lots of options...Let us know!

The fit and finish was not up to par, even more so when you consider that was the boat they brought to the show.
Heather is going to Atlanta on Sunday, maybe the following weekend. I look at my empty lift everyday and wonder what will go there next. As soon as I sell the house I will probably order a new boat then. Mike

Thanks for the info. Stop over anytime you want. I'll be around all day today. I am going out now to wash the car. I did Sebring again with the Porsche Club yesterday....total BLAST!

Hello,

This is correct (referring to last entry regarding Carrera), I'm a broker in Fort Lauderdale and I've sold several Carrera CC's. The most popular is the 32 foot typically powered by twin 250 Merc's. They are actually located in the area of Homestead, Florida and they have a very small shop (only 4 boats at a time) so all Carrera CC are custom built to order. They are building up a reputation but for now have a narrow customer base, mostly out of the miami area and most are attracted to the heavy graphics. They are a deep-V construction and have a extra thick hull. I was on a sea trial not to long ago and was quite impressed.

Hope this helps, and of course if anyone is interested in buying one let me know.

Have a good day!

FeverMike 05-18-2007 01:11 AM

How about?
33 Ocean Hawk ( Cigarette 33 Cafe)
Renegade
Lazer Power Boats
Solid Powerboats
