Is it common to do the deck in two pieces? Any great advantage apart from convenience working with two small items Vs one very large one?
That V21 looks nice, interested to read more when she's completed.

this is just a plug, meaning this will not be the deck that the customer gets. the plug will produce the mold. From the mold a new deck will be laid up for the customer
its cut in half for fitment, and was gotten from the faster deck of the canopy flat deck, yes its just for convenience and easier fitment to do it in halves
it also allows the builder to foresee the rear deck shape, 4-bench rear seat interior, and also the dash layout, which will be getting the larger screens
