This seems to be a slightly misleading post, as the way I read it is that they came 1st in a time trial (timed sprint) that replaced the second race due to bad weather.

In the first race they came 4th, still a good result, but not as successful as you guys have been led to believe!

It's not misleading at all...
They came from last place to 1st place in the 1st race prior to breaking a waterpump housing causing them to shut down 1 engine.
Race Two according to Powerboat P1, Outerlimits came in 1st:

But at least they had several boats to compete against...

Race 1, they got a DNF and zero points.
Race 2, they got 1st place and 10 points, same as the rest of the fleet.

So at the end of the weekends racing they amassed 10 points, and the Donzi has 110 points.

And the reason they were awarded 1st place in race 2 ???

They had the FASTEST time where as the rest of the fleet did not ! :evilb:

Congrats to Donzi for Saturday. They raised the bar over there last year. :drink:

If they can't win (consistently) here in the good 'ole USA, might as well pack up and try again. Nice to see the the dollars being pi$$ed away in another country. :(
