Thumbs up New Boat Arrival - At Last!

Finally took delivery of our new boat this past weekend. 2002 Nordic 28' Heat. Everything came out great. Havasu weather was perfect. Gotta love the West...boating in January.

See it here http://pages.prodigy.net/black_smoke/

Thanks to everyone out there who gave me input during the decision process this past Fall.

Great looking boat and great looking site. I also have a 496/HO in my 288 Sunsation. It's a great motor and your boat looks great too. Best of luck!

Wink

Sorry I ommitted the first 2 hours performance stats.

Conditions: 65 degrees, glassy water, light Northerly wind.

Out of the box - 63MPH on GPS for a short blast. 4,950 - 5,000 Max RPM's were just under what I believe is the apx. 5,100 RPM rev limiter. Boat tracked perfectly straight - and absolutely solid as a rock.

This hull design likes 2'-3' chop or so, so Saturday's glassy water conditions were not ideal for achieving top speed.

I'm very pleased with the first few indications of performance. What I expected.

But, guaranteed, once motor comes out of warranty -- I'll be adding Mr. Whipple.
