Very nice, but how does it look up close. All of the wraps I have seen look pretty grainy up close. Also, does the boat have to be stripped of graphics, or can it go over the existing paint? Does it fit nicely around cleats and other deck hardware?

Yes it can go over existing paint. I removed all hardware that would be effected by the wrap.Cleats and fuel bezels, side railing. They said I should get 5 to 10 years before it starts fading. If I get 2 or3 years I will be happy. Thanks again |
Who did it ? Did they install it ?

Very nice job, it looks very cool.

They did a great job. I took them the boat and some graphics I liked. They took several pictures of the boat and measured it. Aweek later they have the grafics on a file and e-mail to me here is a picture. There graphic designer has some skills. I took them the boat thursday morning and picked it up on friday. Thanks for comments. |

It looks better up close. All of the people that have seen it in person say who painted that even after they look at it for a minute.

I'm with fastercat, if I get 2-3 years out of mine, I'll be happy. When the wrap was originally installed my expectations for lasting weren't too high. But after running it a full season(into the second season now), done a couple impromtou dock checks and running it in salt and fresh water. I believe it'll last the 5 years they said it would.
There's a new vinyl material 3M has put out that is truely amazing. It's not "flat" looking or "grainy" like it used to be. And yes you can slap it over exsisting paint. It's a great alternative to spending HIGH dollars on paint in my opinion. Here's a shot of ours up close. |
That looks like Zuckerman's boat on LSD! Looks good, maybe that will drive down the cost of paint materials.

I like the idea of the wrap, but how do you care for it.
Do you need to wax it? Or would wax be bad for the film? |
your boat looks hotttttt,,,,,,,,,,, what a difference... congrats.
