you should also paint the dash panel itself a vibrant color to really liven it up or it will still look somewhat dated. just my .02

that would be too much work..not painting the dash, but sprucing up the rest of the old resin bucket to match!!

Looks like you painted the black again......I think. What did you use to fill the holes where the old hardware (switches and lights) went? I assume that those are hood lights next to each switch? Replacing those with illuminated switches would be a bad a$$ improvement!!

A couple of questions:

1. Looks good.....what happened to the functions for the switches that you removed?

2. Why is the upper dash (in old pic) part white and part black? Did the gel coat peel?

3. Did the "easy" button work good? I need one of those.....

I just scrubbed up the plastic dash and armor alled it, those are fuses by the switches, the switches that arent there anymore were for dock lights and windshield wipers..boat has niether..
As for the black, there is some kind of stick on vinyl stuff on there that came from the factory to reduce glare? would love to find out what it is so I could replace it,
the easy button is from last year when my compass died, and since I dont have a chart plotter...I used easy button navigation
